Description:

Farmers Elevator & Exchange has been providing agricultural products and services to Southeast Iowa for over 100 years. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team to operate agronomy equipment and additional facility operations at our Wapello facility.
|
|
Duties/Responsibilities:
(Included, but not limited to)
|
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Professional custom application of crop nutrients and protection products
- Repairs and preventative maintenance on application equipment
- Blending/Loading/Delivering of bulk fertilizer
- Handle bulk and packaged, dry and liquid fertilizer, and anhydrous ammonia
- Anhydrous Ammonia nurse tank filling, farm delivery, and maintenance
- Position will also assist in plant operations as needed

Education/Requirements:
|
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Agriculture background/experience preferred, but not required
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
- Have valid driver's license with clear driving record
- Ability to:
- Lift up-to 75 pounds
- Climb bins, ladders, & stairs
- Work in dusty and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Licenses & Qualifications:

- Class A Commercial Driver's License (or obtain with training)
- Air Brakes
- Manual Transmission
- HazMat & Tanker
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (or obtain with training)
